ABOUT SAM
From an incredibly young age Sam began pursuing a career in filmmaking, winning his first official film competition at the age of thirteen. After living in Australia and attending specialist performing arts high school McDonald College, and completing his education at Geelong Grammar School, Sam moved to London at age eighteen .
He began working in the professional industry, paralleling his passions for on-set experience with building his own portfolio of work. Within a year he had begun working on major motion pictures and written, produced, directed and crowd-funded his first official short film.
Today, Sam’s portfolio of short films explores a variety of topics and with every new venture, he is honing his craft, wishing to explore the multi-faceted nature of humans in new and exciting ways. His directing style of optimistic dark comedies filters into his commercial work on which he is continuously building.
Blending sharp humour with emotional honesty, he is drawn to stories that uncover the complexities, contradictions and vulnerabilities of human nature. Whether working in narrative film or commercial content, Sam approaches each project with a distinct visual style, collaborative spirit and a passion for creating work that resonates with audiences long after the credits roll.
